My Wardrobe Staple - Jeans.

Hi there my friends.
Have you survived Storm Dennis?  It's been a a bit of a washout weekend, the highlight being a family birthday party on Saturday evening and Sunday dinner with my daughter at her house.
As usual Saturday night was a brilliant evening with our family and friends. They have a jukebox which always attracts a lot of attention - it's a push button style that uses actual 45's records and is from the 1970's.  We played songs from the 80's from Abba, Barry Manilow & The Jacksons and also older songs from the 60's and 70's.  They also have one that's wall hung that's a much later style and works through a computer, there are hundreds of tunes from all genres which is incredible for someone like me who likes a mixed bag!  Anyone who likes the sound of having music played on a jukebox I've checked out this one on Amazon which is a really modern up-to-date model, it'll complete your bar or function room with retro style & amazing choices of thousands of songs at the click of a button.

Esther and I took full advantage of Friday's weather and popped out to take photos. The weather was glorious with not a hint of rain & only a slight breeze, shame it changed so dramatically the next day!  We have such fun when we get together which is no surprise that her mum is my best friend.  Which has given me a thought, watch this space for a feature about her and my sister-in-law!

Are you a jean wearer?  I love them and they are a wardrobe staple for me in all seasons.  I, like many of you, have seen a variety of different styles come and go from bootcut, wide leg, slim, straight and to my now favoured skinny - I've been wearing the latter quite a lot, but have decided to embrace the straight leg for the forseeable future.  (I'll probably change my mind again soon though 😏).  I made a vow to get a new pair of jeans for the new year and only recently found some that I liked.  Marks and Spencer have many different styles and it's always worth a visit to try some out to find out just what suits you and what you like.  I found the straight leg a very flattering look, still hugging in the right places.  They also have three different leg lengths and two colour choices, & icing on the cake you ask?  They are only £25, which is fabulous for these heavy denim with a slight stretch that are mid rise slim jeans.

Jeans can be worn a multitude of ways, you can dress them up for a special occasion or style them casually for everyday wear.  I love the versatility of them and can't resist a good pair.  I've gone for a semi-dressy look by adding heels and a jumper.  I purchased this stylish cream jumper in Marks and Spencer at the same time and am really impressed at how elegant it looks.  The diamond stitch is a pretty detail as are the extra long cuffs and deep waist rib.  They also have it in 5 other colours so coming in at £17.50 I might just have to buy another colour or two!

I chose complimentary pearls for the neckline with my Aztec design jacket to top it off.  Drop down to my heels and my Vionic kitten style snakeskin courts bring it all together adding sass to statement.

They say you learn something new everyday don't they!  Well Esther showed me how to do a Time-lapse, yes I know it's really quite easy!!! So wondered if you'd like to see a little time-lapse of our photo opportunity last Friday - brilliant eh?

Here's our little friend who joined us on the shoot - serenading us as we worked - so sweet!

So glad you joined me today. Have a good week and fingers crossed for better weather arriving very soon - I've had my nails painted in a bright and radiant pink hot pink, I'm trying to entice Spring to arrive.  🤣
Thank you Esther Ruby for taking my photos. X
Bye for now. X

  4. I am trying to create a little more versatility in my outfits. I do wear my denim so much in the winter that I am trying to wear more skirts now that we are heading into spring. I have only skinny jeans in my closet so I will try to thrift some different styles in the future.

  9. Jeans are a staple for me as well and I have very style imaginable. I have a few straight leg pairs but I don’t think they are my favorites. I am loving this outfit with those sassy snakeskin shoes and your beautiful ivory and gray combination. So pretty! Thanks for linking up.
