Style Not Age - Flaming June!

Morning - how are you?
Today it's my turn to set the challenge for the Style Not Age ladies.  I had my mind set on the title for June but hadn't anticipated the weather.
Flaming June .... more like April showers downpours!
Dodging the rain trying to take photos this month has been a challenge to say the least.  I missed plenty of opportunities to take photos, and found myself staring out the window to find a break in the weather just long enough to take some shots!
I wasn't too worries because I was taking my new lens on holiday to practise taking shots of the stunning scenery on the island of Majorca.  If you've been following my IG stories you might have seen my huge mistake ... yes forgetting the memory card!!!!! OMG I was so annoyed with myself, I'd remembered everything else.  So we searched for said memory card in the local shops, but because my camera is quite old the CF card is difficult to find.  Having to make do with phone camera to take some rather good photos as you will see further on.

If this crimson red dress had been in a shop I'd have definitely made a beeline for it!  Having previously bought a black slip dress from H & M for the hen weekend I had in mind something of a similar style for my holiday to Spain.  Being very disappointed in the local stores I checked out the on-line sites and found this red hot beauty in BooHoo for a sizzling £15!  I ordered the size 12, and found the fit alright, but not as nice as the H & M black beauty.  The bust was tight but not too snug to wear & the waist/hip sizing was slightly bigger than I would have liked, but slipped on a treat.

Spaghetti straps meant wearing a strapless bra, I picked up one in Peacocks (Marks & Spencer similar pack of two here) but they're in most shops.  Always worth the money for those unusual styled dresses - I'll be featuring one soon on the blog that I picked up in F & F.

Saving the best till last - the asymmetric dress has a Spanishy fluted hemline certainly befitting my holiday to Spain, with my ballroom dancing going well maybe I could have joined in with the Flamenco Dancers - lol!

Gold additions to complete the outfit were gold block heel sandals from Primark, my gold ball necklace (this is awesome) is an eye-catching piece that I love to wear - especially as It was a present from my SIL.  I wear it often as it's big and dramatic!

Let's take a look at how Anna, Hilda and Emma took to the challenge - did they have better luck than me.
First up Anna, who can be found blogging from the beautiful island of Tresco on the Silly Isles.  See more of her outfit at Anna's Island Styles.  I've wanted a baby pink suit for ages, but seeing yellow I may have been swayed just a little.

Next up Emma.
Find out more about her style on her blog Style Splash. Going for the monochromatic look as well as me Emma looks fiery in blazing orange, & with the red hot accessories she's sure to warm up the British weather.

Last but not least meet Hilda - my friend from the Emerald Isles - you can catch up with her on her blog Over the Hilda.  Definitely my kind of outfit.  Hilda is sporting fabulous wide leg white trousers, with a cute little hot coral tee shirt - all simmering under her glowing kimono that's a mixture of hot reds, deep oranges and light blue - which is actually the hottest colour in a flame!

Thanks so much for coming over today.  If you'd like to view more from the collective here's a couple of links to take you back to May, April, March and February challenges.
Do stop back on Thursday for the #linkup - #chicandstylish goes live every Thursday at 7.00 am GMT.
Bye for now. X
