Lotus Shoes Espadrilles & Gypsy Style Dress.

Morning all!
What you been up to?
Starting to get back to normal in the MummB household, just waiting for the honeymooner's to get home and share some of their memories, then as of Saturday I'll be out of office and on a weeks holiday to relax and re-cov ....... hang on ... no I'm with the grandkids so I don't think there'll be much R & R going on! Lol.  We're off for a week to Majorca, in the Med.  Praying for nice weather as we'll be around the pool for most of the days.  Princess has learnt to swim and will be getting plenty of practise, while my little prince will be enjoying the pool, slides and spray machines xxx.  We know he'll love it as his mummy and daddy took him to an open air swimming pool recently and he was in his element.  So maybe I will be able to catch a few rays and enjoy a few drinks after all. 😉

With my holiday I mind, I've started to collect my outfits together - most are too big so I've been eyeing up the shops to find replacements.  Popping into F & F the other day, I just had to peruse, well - the whole section.  I found this cute gypsy styled dress in the sale no less, and thought I'd try it.  I think it makes me look a bit dumpy - what do you think? .... a keeper or not?

Item marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

Basically I've been looking for a dress in these colours, blue and white, as I think they go really well paired with tan.  My tan espadrilles are from a collection by Lotus shoes.  I needed a replacement for my well worn gold pair, and these seem to fit the bill excellently.  I always find espadrilles very comfortable to wear and have always got a couple of pairs on the go every year.  They don't fare well in wet weather, and that's where I went wrong with my others - the rope has frayed and dis-coloured.  I've sprayed the new ones in a hope that this won't happened - which will  remain to be seen.
Lotus shoes have a couple of nice styles, but the Tan Eartha wedge* caught my eye because of the mesh floral pattern on them.  They are just the right height for everyday wear, a casual walk on the sea front or a lunch date.  They'll be in my case or maybe worn to the airport, either way they're joining me on my holibobs!

The £39.99 sandals are available in sizes UK 4 - 8, I'm wearing a size 6 and there is plenty of room, so as I would usually wear a 6 1/2 I'd recommend sizing down for a better fit.  I mentioned before that the 8 cm heel height is perfect for everyday running around, making them the 'must have' sandal of the season.

Let's just mention one of my all time favourites - the denim jacket.  I've had this for yonks, and it comes out every summer to look just like new.  It flatters many outfits, whether casual or slightly dressy.  It's great to travel in too.  I fancied embellishing one in some way or other, but have still to attempt that one!  Do watch this space. This one from M & S is £35 and would be ideal to decorate too.

Finally I'm weighing up whether I'm in love with the F & F dress.  The button through front has a draw string fastening at the waist which I tied in a bow.  A small collar and short sleeves top the pretty blue and white floral pattern.  It sits midi length and the tiered gypsy style is floaty & roomy. For only £15 paid it's a cheeky little addition to any summer wardrobe, just not sure it's going to be mine!

Many thanks for stopping by my friends.  Catch you again on Thursday for #chicandstylish.
Also please do sent some photos for my 'Copy Cat' series, I'd love to share your steals.
Bye for now. X
