This over fifty fashion blogger is back to reality with a big, cold, damp bump! I almost, yes I did say almost, wish I'd not been away to a hot & sunny destination. Doesn't is always feel even colder when you take a sunny holiday in cooler seasons? My heating is most definitely on as are my socks and gloves!
The latest challenge fell into the hands of Hilda, I'd love you to read on to find out how the ladies from the Style not Age collective attacked November's challenge 'Keen as Mustard'.
Are you keen on the latest colour trend? Yes I'm talking about firery amber yellow. I've always liked this colour, but only in recent years worn it. It actually mixes well with so many other shades, I've paired it with cobalt blue not once or twice but three times, also covered in little flowers & an old faithful jacket.
The hot spicy colours are taking centre stage in the fashion industry for AW, and mixed together make for hot combinations. I'm seeing mustard, shades of red & mahogany, sienna red and russet, all topped off with brown or tan accessories......
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
Mustard with leopard print - that's where this attractive blouse from Krisp Clothing came up trumps.
I'm really into animal prints, so this chiffon leopard print blouse* was the obvious choice. I not only like the fact it is shirred at the waist giving a lovely finish, but has wide bell sleeves that look enchanting. The classic neck tie always looks good. No need for a necklace either. It also has an extra modesty panel which makes it less transparent. I'll probably wear a little vest top under it for colder days.
I chose long back boots and a cute little black chanel quilted bag to complete the outfit.
The blouse is available online for £19.99 available in sizes 6/8, 10/12 & 14/16. I received the latter and it fits true to size. I've also worn this over black skinny jeans with long boots for a more casual day to day wear.
My other gifts from Krisp are both just as lovely. You might like my pussy bow blouse or this check jacket.
Hilda's turn now, snuggly and warm in her golden yellow oversized scarf that really makes a statement. Depending on the weather wearing a scarf negates the need for a coat, which Hilda has proved exceptionally well.

Cleverly matching her mustard with camo jeans and army green moto jacket - blending perfectly with her surroundings.
But for me it's all about her mustard court shoes - they've got my name all over them!!
