Take one pleated skirt - Look I #chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hi there people - how's it going?
September is in full swing with a festive feel seeping in.  Well the weather has turned and the shops have started adding Christmas cards and wrapping paper to their shelves, yes really!
By the lack of comments on Monday's blog post about my new jumper, I figured it was a big fail & as I didn't like it either I took it back, let's see how today's #ootd fares.

Guess what I bought the other day?
I bought another pleated skirt, I just couldn't resist the colour - it was calling me!  Pleated skirts are so bloody flattering for anyone, screaming sophistication and elegance for whoever wears them.
I've got a handful already, and am so glad I added to my collection - this blue number is a keeper!

I love the feel of this pleated skirt all delicate, soft and flimsy,  I always feel very ladylike when I wear them, especially when it's with nice heels and a cute top.  Although just as good with pumps and a casual jean jacket too.

You may recall back in the Winter I styled my red velvet skirt a different way each month.  Catch up with that beauty here, here and here. Wanting to do the same with this one, I found it rather easy as I've got so much it will pair with.  So I've got two more posts lined up for the next couple of months, love it when a skirt proves invaluable.
I found this floaty skirt in Primark for just a tenner!  Pleats have been high in the fashion stakes for months now, with no sign of leaving just yet.
This month I've picked a more casual look, giving the baseball pumps an airing, these always make me feel laid back and carefree.  I grabbed the top from my daughter and with crossed fingers I gently wriggled into it - it's two sizes smaller than I normally wear, but somehow I managed it!  Putting to the back of my mind that I would also need to get OUT of it too!   Lol - it's okay I got it off after a bit of bending, pulling and stretching - workout for the day completed. ✓

Also incorporating the never-go-out-of-fashion-take-anywhere-super-duper-denim jacket.  Everyone should have one - they just go with anything!

Picking up on the blue I chose a plain clutch, along with a fancy floral necklace.

  16. Such a lovely skirt, the colour is gorgeous! What a bargain too! Isn't it funny when you get stuck in a top? It's happened to me loads, my husband thinks it's hilarious...he even took a photo of me when it happened on holiday! There's always that second of panic though when you wonder if you really are trapped! Thanks for hosting, hope you have a great weekend!

  18. Some striking colours there, Jacqui, cobalt suits you. I'm going to show my pensioner age here. I wore a beige sunray skirt and with pumps in my early teens, and haven't worn them since, and I just know I couldn't pull off the look now. I have to leave that look to you youngsters!! Hugs, x.
