TK Maxx for dresses #LINKUP #chicandstylish

Morning my fellow bloggers.

Thanks for stopping by today, although I'm away for a few days I've still managed to get a blog post out today, woo hoo!  I'm not sure how because I've been soo busy!  Birthdays, nights out and generally running around like a lunatic!
I'm sure at the moment I'll be sunbathing on a beach or sipping a sangria in the bar, either way I'll be relaxing I'm sure!  Sorry don't mean to rub it in lol, but this over fifty blogger needs a little R & R.

Packing for any kind of holiday or long weekend always brings it's own little problems, and I always seem to struggle with what to select.  Getting it wrong more than I get it right!  I either pack to much, not enough, the wrong choice, or just the wrong season, lol!

This break I'm still going with the less is more kind of approach.  And only packing dresses or jumpsuits for the evening, which makes a hell of a difference, no fussing over what to match with a blouse or skirt.  The only fretting I do is over what accessories to wear!  Easy!
Here's one of my winning picks that have made the cut!  I've had this for quite a few years, and came from one of my favourite shops - TK Maxx.

This is possibly a touch shorter than I feel comfortable wearing, but this easy to wear knee length dress has a soft feel & a nice heavy drape.  The large floral design makes it right on trend at the moment, echoing the season's flowers perfectly.
I've worn this on plenty of occasions, mainly matching it with black accessories.  But no not this time, this time I'm  going with cream.  I bought these block heel sandals from Zara last year & wore them with my pale blue lace Jacques Vert dress, one of my favourite looks from last year.  The addition of my suede bag finished off my outfit with a little bit of finesse.  Looking forward to wearing this again on my holiday.

But first let's see who was favourite from last week.
Meet Andrea, who can be found across the pond on her blog Living on cloud Nine. Andrea always looks effortlessly stylish in whatever she wears, and is also a fabulous cook - just have a look at all the wonderful things she makes - mouth-watering for sure!  A gingham dress with yellow pops from her bag and shoes - just a match made in heaven, so much so I worn a similar look today!

  3. How brave of you and Esther to do a rainy day photo shoot! You mentioned that you find the dress a tad short - it looks like it's got a tie waist so maybe not tying it would give you a few extra inches? I do something similar with a coral elasticated waist dress, dropping the waist to the hips and I feel more comfortable with it that way.
    Have a super holiday, x.

    1. Yes I know, dodging the showers wasn't really fun! I keep pulling this dress down, but has an elastic bit that seems to ride up! I still wear it though, lol. Thanks for joining the linkup Mary. x

  8. I hope you are getting some much needed R&R, I feel ya, it's a necessity!
I am getting ready to pack for vacation and I am in the same boat. I always pack too much and it's often not what I really need. Packing dresses and jumpsuits does seem to streamline things!

  19. pretty dress and I always struggled with packing. I have gotten much better in the last decade though. Pre-plan and know what I will be doing. Plus recognize that while away you can wear the same thing over and over because the same people are not seeing you lol
