Style Not Age. The shirt - a Wardrobe Staple!

Hiya.
Thanks for stopping by today.  You're just in time to see what the Style not Age collective are sharing this month.
You may have seen some of our previous challenges, but if not don't worry you can still catch them by clicking on the following links.  See us styling our Jumpsuit's in MaySharing our rainbow outfits along with Going dotty for polka dots!

This month is a little bit different.  We were approached by The Bias Cut and took on the challenge of  The shirt - a wardrobe staple  all of us were bubbling with excitement to get the task started.  So without further delay let's see what's been created.

First I'd like to tell you a bit about The Bias Cut. Welcome to Shopping With Attitude - Where Ageism Is Never In Style.

The-Bias-Cut.com is the first online boutique that truly celebrates style at every age.  Featuring pieces by some of the best contemporary labels today, our eclectic collections reflect Jacynth's thorough and in-depth understanding of different women's bodies and shapes, as well as cut and fabrics.  Throw into the mix her stylist, contemporary eye, and Jacynth is swiftly becoming recognised as one of the UK's leading experts and pioneers of style at every age.

Jacynth started her journey upon seeing the frustration of her mother trying to follow her love of fashion, but finding it increasingly difficult to find suitable garments for her age.  Many of what she found pointed in the direction of being frumpy, boring, dowdy & unflattering.  All the pieces around were suitable for younger ladies, and were being sold by uninterested shop assistants, thus making a truly unpleasant shopping experience - Jacynth decided this had to stop!

Take a look at all her inspirational pieces on the website.  The range includes clothing, footwear, bags, accessories and fine jewellery, and all are of exceptional quality, made to high standards and will confirm you can be stylish at any age!

So without further ado, here's my choice from the selection at The-Bias-cut.com.

The clever fishnet design of the cotton poplin Gibson & Birkbeck shirt* is available in sizes 8  - 16 and are sized perfectly.  I wear a 14 and this fits me brilliantly.  There's also a few different pattern choices, you can see my fellow stylists are wearing another couple of choices - all are just so wearable!
From the invisible buttons, to the scooped hem I love everything about this shirt.  The fishnet shirt is just so me - it has a subtle pattern, but enough design to catch my eye - along with the fact that it's pink!  I don't think I'll have to go fishing for compliments about this shirt, as the style & charm speaks for itself.

Item marks with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

Opting to wear my new kick flare cropped jeans that just seemed to fall into my basket whilst I was online shopping in New Look 😊  I bought two pairs of these, one white and one light denim, both have earned their keep being only £10 each in the recent sale!!!  I'll be sharing my lighter option soon, having frayed them they are getting lots of outings - well they go with so much!

The finishing touches are my prized pink belt that I bought whilst on a skiing holiday in France, a poppy red bag and some pretty pink suede mules, giving me a smooth & chic finish.

But don't go yet, there's three other fabulous shirts from The Bias Cut to share with you.

Hilda and I are 'twins' with this challenge having chosen the same shirt, what a naturally cool look you have bought to the table Hilda.  Now we know that this shirt compliments both denim and white jeans.   Find more of Hilda's style on her Over the Hilda blog.

Emma can be found at Style Splash.  Her shirt showing the blue jay feather print looks bold, effortlessly beautiful, and easily co-ordinates with her dark denim jeans.

Anna can be viewed on her blog Anna's Island Style.  I hadn't realised quite how lovely this pretty dandelion shirt would be.  Anna has worn it over her patterned trousers for a creative look that is spot on for summer sunshine.

Great to see you hear today.  Are you a shirt wearer?  Do they fit in with your style or not?  Let me know what your thoughts are - I love hearing from you.

Oh and be darlings and subscribe to my blog, you'll then be first to hear what's happening in the world of Mummabstylish!

Esther Ruby took my photos, many thanks my dear. x

See you on Thursday - when it'll be time for the #chicandstylish #LINKUP

Bye for now. X
