Fashion and Lifestyle Blogger for the over Fifties - What real women wear!

Wow - where did that week go?

Hello, and happy Tuesday to you all.

Where the heck did that week go?  I can't believe I've not posted since last Tuesday!  My week has been filled with family, Christmas present buying, decorating the Christmas tree, night out with friends and a cheeky weekend away with my two best friends and their hubbies.  A perfect end to a busy week.

Thursday had me wrapped up with all the family for an evening of fajitas, nachos, with all the extras, along with a bit of tree decorating by middle and youngest daughters.  I have to admit they've done a blinding job and my tree looks amazing - is that because I haven't been involved and could just sit and watch?

I've got the pleasure of collecting my granddaughter from pre-school today - for the very first time!  It's going to odd though, it's the same one as her mum went to when she was little!  I'm going to be there waiting on the door step far too early I'm sure, whilst remembering the "password" needed to collect her!
Wrapping up warm today, as I'm feeling the cold, but having my foot nearly 100% now - footwear won't be the issue.

Here's my #ootd
With the weather being slightly warmer, I opted for this grey roll neck jumper, from Debenhams, a great wardrobe staple coming in a range of colours - this jumper is just as suitable underneath a cardigan or gilet as over a basic t shirt.  Actually I've worn both!  A T shirt under the roll neck and a gilet over the top.  As I was just running errands today and not out in the colder weather for long, this was enough for me.    Pairing with these burgundy straight leg trousers from Matalan, and this cute fur gilet from M and Co - the grey and burgundy worked well together.  I've worn my ancient grey block heel boots today, but have my eye on some grey suede boots in Debenhams for ages so may have to include them on my Christmas list!  (Hint hint!)

Absolutely love this bag - a Christmas present from my husband a couple of years ago similar here, a bag that's a real treat to use.  Jaeger make some stunning bags and this one is right up there with them.  From tote bags to clutch in a range of neutral colours the finish and detailing is unique.  I've spied several that I'd love to have as my arm candy, there's always room for a new bag in a girls collection.

Are you liking the grey and burgundy together?  Or does it remind you of school uniform?  Please feel free to comment below, I'd love to hear from you.

Wont leave it too long to post again, have a super day fellow bloggers.

Bye. X

  1. Your grey and burgundy look super, Jacqui, as does your lovely tree. How lucky for you to have it decked out so beautifully by such nice daughters. Mine's waiting in its pot outside on the patio, if they're interested ...!
