Fashion and Lifestyle Blogger for the over Fifties - What real women wear!

Round up of the weekend.

Evening beauties.  Hope you've all had a lovely weekend.  Mine, well  'mixed' is the best answer. Rubbing down a staircase on Saturday, Curry on the nightime, with a little bevy of course. Sunday best of all - spending precious time looking after my Princess (grandaughter).  There is nothing like grandchildren, oh how I enjoy just sitting with her, playing with her, eating/drinking just being with her. Who else would you crawl on the floor like a dog, hop like a bunny, chirp and squark like a bird. It seems normal to drink 'pretend' tea from a wooden cup and saucer, then makeout you're eating plastic food,' ohhing and arring' at how nice it tastes. I can just see her beaming smile as she sees me appreciate what she's 'made' for me to eat.  I expect some of you have already been there, but for those of you who haven't, you've such a treat waiting patiently for you and for sure you're going to love it!
Finally having to leave my Princess with her parents, it's home to cook dinner for a much smaller gathering, including mum-in-law, a much quieter affair, but still just as important. Roast chicken with all the trimmings goes down well with everyone. Settling down to a chilled evening is a perfect end to the weekend.  Wonder what this week will bring.

Lastly, something that has been in my thoughts for quite a while.  Should I wear converse style shoes?  Seeing these around everywhere and have always thought, they are for the young ones!  What do you all think? Should a 50ish year old wear them?  I'm in two minds about this and need to see what everyone else of my age range thinks.  Anyway, back to this evening I've got a Brandy awaiting me and my comfy sofa is calling.

 Bye bye. X
