Two ways with a White Jeans.

Morning all,

I'm doing it again!!  What you ask .... comparing my blog to others!  Such a pointless, worthless and futile task!
You know how it goes, check out other blogs, read the topics, discover interesting facts, view fabulous shots along with dexterous writing - resulting in feeling downright fed-up and deflated!  Once I've 'picked myself up and brushed myself down' the answer, for me, is to re-visit some of the inspiring blog posts I've read in the past to recharge my blogging battery, affirm why I started blogging and to realise just how far I have come, and at the end of the day, does it really matter? As long as I'm happy.  I'm sure some of what I write is interesting to some people, and others have no time for it, and being honest I do that with some blogs too!

"You can please some of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can't please all the people all of the time"!

With that off my chest, lets get back to fashion and lifestyle blogging.

How's your weekend going?
Again a lazy day due to the weather, hubby and I were going to make a start on cutting the hedge, it seems only yesterday we were cutting, striming and burning branches from our boundary hedge that seems to grow quicker than Jack's beanstalk overfed on John Innes strongest fertiliser!  Anyway it's raining!  Shame that, I can blog instead! Lol.

Thought I'd show you two ways with white jeans following the 'all white' theme of last week you can see my blog post here.

Last week when the sun shone so brightly it could have been middle of Summer, but the cold, crisp wind told another story, I went to the beach for a photo shoot!  (still love the sound of that - Gigi Hadid eat your heart out!  Hilarious laughter ringing in my ears.)
Esther Ruby took some super pictures again, I'm so lucky to have her work with me so skilfully and with such enthusiasm.

So what do you think about my two slightly different looks?

Having become hooked on wearing these previous season white skinnies from Matalan,
I love both looks and love equally what I've paired them with.

First up, worn with a navy blue slip over blouse which has a cute front ruffle detail from the v neckline down to the hem.  Long sleeves with button cuff and an elasticated hemline forming a blouson effect - good for hiding any extra weight that's often carried around the waist for ladies of my age.
This comes from Bonmarche also available in burnt orange and wine. For a mere £18, you could have all the colours.
I've worn my tan slip on ankle boots from TK Maxx, plus a wooden bead necklace that's been in my necklace collection for ages, I can't even remember where or when I got it!  Similar on the Amazon website. (Link below)

Sporting my Irresistible me cheap hair extensions, they've given me so much volume I thought I was going to take off in the wind.

My "three colour rule" shinning through - sorry it's inherent in me and so hard to throw-off.
White - Tan - Navy.

Now here's white jeans with tan jumper. Having had this in my wardrobe since early last year see where I first wore is here.  It's proved to be a versatile little choice and goes without saying neutral tones are a must in any jumper collection.  I wish I'd looked for a scarf to finish off this look, although I'm not sure I have one, (make a mental note that I want need a tan/other colour and white scarf!)

Really like the colours of the beach and my outfit mixing into each other.

Hey, can you tell I'm wearing my Irresistible me clip in hair extensions again?

Here's my cute tan booties from TK Maxx again - comfortable, stylish and all round functional. Similar from Mantaray in Debenhams for £49 - See website in side bar.

Until the next time, stay safe and have fun!

Before and after using my marvellous Hair Extensions.

Hiya,

I recently showed you some amazing hair extensions from Irresistible Me see my post here
Today is the day I'm showing you my before and after photos.  This is how my hair normally looks - straight with a bit of lift from my backcombing plus tons of hairspray.  Now with these stunning hair extensions I'm thinking my hair looks along the lines of Eva Longoria, full of body, shine and volume - so much volume!

Here's a few photos of my normal hair without any enhancements.  As you can see it is thin, straight with no body.

The email suggested I study the video see here, to establish what colour would best suit me, what length and how thick I needed them to be.

Upon watching Irresistible me's video and chatting with my own hairdresser, I opted for 14 Inch length, 140g medium grade thickness in a gorgeous #2 Chocolate Brown.*

Here's how I put them in....
I started off by sectioning the lowest part of my hair and clipping this up with a large butterfly clip, then opening the clip that's attached to the top of the hair extension, slide onto the hair at the root (by the parting) and clip in place, remove the bulldog clip then repeat further up the head. Then moving to the side, using the same routine until all extensions are used.
I felt for my head I could use maybe two or three less, but that will depend on where I'm going and how much volume I want.

I felt quite nervous having never used clip in extensions before, but they were so easy and straightforward to use, so with practice will probably only take me a few minutes to put them all in.

I'm delighted with how these hair extensions have turned out, they are SO voluminous, I've never had so much hair!  They felt bouncy and swishy, I kept swirling my head around enjoying the feeling of an ample head of hair for once! Even with all this movement they didn't move an inch, they stayed firmly in place - super!

I now feel the volume that's been added using these cheap hair extensions will allow me to create various up do's in a very quick and easy manor.  I'll be practising in the next few days and sharing my efforts next week. I'll also be styling these clip in hair extensions along with my own hair with my heated tongs, creating some gorgeous curls. Hope you'll be popping back to see them.

You'll not be disappointed to buy and use this product, and can have luscious long and/or thick locks,  you can then wait for the envious stares and approving compliments.

Thanking my god-daughter Esther-Ruby for her wonderful photos, and endless patience. x
Thanks for visiting, I hope I may have given you some inspiration to visit this website and purchase your own hair extensions.

White jeans in the Winter?

Morning all, hope you're all fairing well, and are all right white.

I have a question to ask you today, it's about something I've been pondering over for a while.
Would you wear white jeans In the Winter?  My answer for years would have been an obvious No!
However, I seem to be changing my mind! - you see I've seen this trend so often in recent months, but have never had the nerve to wear it, mainly for fear of getting it dirty in our not-so-dry, mucky weather.

One look in particular I've been musing over is the all white look.  I figured as I was going to wear my white jeans in the winter months I might as well go the whole hog and try this one out.   To my surprise I really like it!  I'm thinking I'll still be picking and choosing when I'll wear this trend, and now I like the look, I'll happily choose it again.

It did seem strange wearing white jeans in cold weather, but actually enjoyed putting them on and feeling warm in them.  I would usually wear them in summer months, but they tend to make me all hot and sticky and somewhat uncomfortable!   However, none of that at the weekend, I'm converted!

My skinny jeans from Matalan were really my only choice for this look, a didn't want to wear either  straight leg or boot cut options because I knew they would be dragging in the wet stones and sand, and the muddy paths and grass.
Fitting at the perfect length to meet my booties this was just how I wanted them to look. I picked a plain white shirt with super double cuffs and wide collar - over this I wore a plain white jumper, slightly shorter to reveal the scooped hemline of my shirt. I suppose I have cheated with the tan boots, but I felt that was the nearest neutral option

Cute double cuff feature on this shirt from TK Maxx, I turned it over the cuff of my jumper, quite like this look, and I may have to try with a different coloured jumper in the future.

Breaking the all white theme with this scarf I've had for ages, totally by chance it matches really well with the beach backdrop.

Can you tell by the look on my face I really wanted to sit down?  Although I really didn't think a nice browny/green line would go well on the back of my white jeans! Ha ha ha.

Another of my many TK Maxx bargain bags - this Osprey stunner was a fraction of the price, always comes in handy and is sometimes 'borrowed' by my daughters.  A crossover bag is just so helpful when out shopping, I'm a tactile person, and love being able to feel the clothes, certain fabrics I know by feeling that they won't, hang right or feel good on - I can't bear anything that clings to me, itches me or scratches me! Does anyone agree with me on that?

I was so lucky with the weather for these photos, Esther-Ruby took some amazing beach shots.  Just love the colours of the pebbles and the patterns in the wet sand.

Have you ventured out in white jeans this winter?  Or are they an 'only for summer' item?

Please stop by tomorrow - because I'm posting my before and after Irresistible Me Hair Extensions blog, I'm so excited to show you all.

Bye for today. x

Fuller hair with Hair extensions from - Irresistible Me

Hi to all you lovely bloggers, hope you're suitably relaxed and anticipating what the new year will bring with excitement, wonder and a little apprehension!

I'm very excited to be sharing this post with you today!

When I was contacted by Blair from Irresistibleme,  I could hardly contain my excitement!

I've always wanted to check out how hair extensions would look on me and Irresistible me have given me the perfect opportunity to try them out.  Offering a huge collection of extensions, wigs, hair tools and accessories, I couldn't wait to start looking. Upon visiting the website I was met by such an extensive collection of hair extensions both clip in and tape in.

The obvious choice for me was clip in, and irresistible me offer silky touch cheap hair extensions* in some 12 colour ways!  The perfect colour option for my dark brown hair (ok.... sometimes with hints of grey! Lol) was #2 Chocolate Brown.

Opening up the box I was greeted by the securely packed items in a plastic pouch, inside were two separate sections.  The first containing a length of  hair extension inside a net bag, along with some extra clips, the second with the remaining lengths also inside a net bag.  This second section has a seal across the top only to be opened once totally happy with the colour, length and feel of the contents of the first pouch.

I'm very impressed with this idea - once the seal is broken the guarantee is void and no return or exchange would be available.

Although I can't see any reason to be unhappy with these cheap hair extensions, and I can't wait to show you how good they look!

I chose a 14 inch length with a thickness of 140g which is the medium grade, which will give me a lovely, natural, casual or stunning look which I'll be sharing with you in the next week or so.

Extra clips included in the package, just in case they are needed - such an accommodating idea.

My first words were WOW!

These clip in hair extensions are stunning, every bit as beautiful as they look on the website.  The feel is definitely silky and smooth, with a beautiful lustrous bright shine to match any of Rihanna's 'diamonds in the sky'.  The 140g weighing even heavier than I'd anticipated them being.  The tapered ends I'm sure are going to give a natural finish to all the hairstyles I'll be wearing.

Irresistible me have a fabulous you tube channel here where you can check out some great examples of how to achieve an amazing new hair look.

Arrival of the clip in hair extensions was speedy, so don't be put off if your destination is outside USA because they ship worldwide!

Thanks for stopping by,  I very much appreciate it.  I'd also love you to sign up so you can hear and see any new happenings for Mummabstylish.

"Sorry I can't hear you over the volume of my hair"

Be sure to visit again in the next week to catch my before and after photos of my Irresistibleme stunning extensions.

Many thanks to Esther-Ruby for the fabulous photos..x

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are my own opinions and 100% honest.

Catch you again.  Bye. X
