October Review.

Morning everyone.
So pleased you could join me.

How have you been?  A busy few weeks for me with the baby's arrival growing ever closer!  The house is full with baby clothes and all the extras they need and I'm getting rather excited to say the least.  I'm wondering how Max is going to take the new baby.  He has his moments, but on the whole he's very good with me, David and the rest of the family, so I'm sure it wont be too hard for him when she goes off to hospital, well that's unless she takes after her sister, my eldest daughter, she popped our first grandchild out at home and didn't have time to get to the hospital!  So yes as they say anything can happen!

Another month has rolled by and don't they seem to be getting faster?  It'll be Christmas before we know it and we'll be enjoying all the delights that brings.  I've vowed to get presents done early (I know I say that every year) but I want to enjoy getting them and not having it to be a chore.

So without further ado let's look back on my outfits for October for the ....

My first post featured a bit about Porto & Life insurance, you can read all about my exciting trip here and marvel at the photos of the special place David and I celebrated our 60th birthdays - albeit a tad late!

October Review

Morning my friends.
Hope you are okay.

Has anyone else noticed the adverts have arrived for Christmas?  They started appearing the day after Halloween! Crazy isn't it, why can't the advertisers just let us enjoy some down time before a new festivity is shoved in our faces!  Don't get me wrong I love anything to do with Christmas, being adverts, shopping, putting the decorations up and Christmas day it'self.  Maybe it's a gentle reminder to get my bum into gear and get everything sorted by at least the beginning of December, stay tuned to see if that happens!

We've been a 'sicky' house over the past couple of days, but so far I seem to have evaded the bug, although I may have to edit this before it's published on Monday, I do hope not as this is something I definitely don't want to join in with ... lol!  (Late edit I went down with the bug on Sunday and stayed in bed all day!  Feeling better now though so obviously just a 24hr bug!)

It's the first Monday of November, so it's time to have a look back over the previous posts for the ...

October Review.

The first post of October seems so long ago and hard to believe we were enjoying warmer temperatures and sunshine.  I spotted these grey trousers whilst shopping in my local supermarket and couldn't help myself and bought them.  They'll go with so much and so far I've liked wearing them with this candy stripe shirt, a white jumper and a black Tee shirt, do stop by to see the first fashionable look here.

October Review.

Hi there,
How are you on doing on the 1st day of November?
I'm shocked how fast this has come around, and only yesterday was thinking I've not spent much time in the garden over the Summer Months!  Most probably because of the lack of nice weather we were 'blessed' with over the past months.  Fingers crossed next year will be better, but that's such a long time to wait!
I do like the different seasons we experience in the UK, colder days in November mean coming in from the cold to a nice warm house, hearty stews and casseroles, cosy weekends watching a good film (or football) depending on who's got the TV remote 🤣 and preparations for Christmas.  I've actually started mine, and am happy to announce I've got about 3!!!  Have you got any further than me?

I've been celebrating a couple of birthdays over the past few days, my mum had nearly all the family up to her's for pizza, cake and a little drink on Thursday.  Another super evening spent with family - was nice to see all the kids playing together, although they did get a tad loud for Mum at times!!
Saturday night we shared a lovely evening having a take away Thai from a local venue.  This was for my daughters birthday.  She's only got 2 weeks until her baby arrives and she was worried he/she might make an appearance on her special day ... she didn't want to share that ... lol.  Happy to say baby is still well and truly staying in place ... nice, cosy, warm & safe.

As it's the first on November, it's time to share what I've been wearing over the past month for my ....

Way back at the beginning of October I found this gorgeous Dior dupe in H & M, I just couldn't resist this fabulous bag.  The dog-tooth pattern is so striking and I've had lots of comments about it.  Do pop back to read about the outfit I created around it.

October Review.

Morning everyone.
The beginning of another strange week for us in the UK.  We are going into lock-down as of Thursday.  This is for a month or possibly longer!  I think the aim is to get over the spike and return figures to a better level in order to have some sort of normal Christmas.  Like everyone else I have mixed emotions about the whole thing, but hope and pray it will be a positive outcome.
You will have read I had a busy week with plenty of birthdays to celebrate. On Friday my middle daughter turned 30!  She had a quiet meal with her hubby on Friday evening which she loved.  Saturday was another day of surprises with cocktails at a local bar with me and four others.  It was a ploy by her husband to get her out the house so he could decorate and prepare food (most done by my other daughter - Little Berry Bakes)  She came home to an intimate little family gathering with drinks and snacks and a celebration cake.
Graze boards seem to be very popular these days and that's just what Sophie did - she spent most of the morning cooking, baking and arranging everything on the board - it looked amazing as you can see below!
Sunday was a slow day as you can imagine.  I'm actually looking forward to a restful week, although lock-down is taking it to the extreme isn't it!!!
So as it's the beginning of November today I'm sharing my October Review.  You can catch all the posts you might have missed here. X
