Broderie Anglais Midi Dress - Chic & Stylish Linkup

Hello and welcome to my blog today.
How are you all?

My holiday seems a distant memory now, I’m hopeful that the better weather will come and stay. We’ve had a couple of nice days recently although still windy at least the skies are blue and there’s no rain!
I popped into a couple of shops on Wednesday and was pleased to return with a few bits. Two dresses of which one will be featured on Monday for the Style not Age challenge and a cute pair of black thin fabric wide leg trousers. I’ve seen some girls wearing them with chunky flats and little tee shirts so thought I’d try them for myself. If they look alright I’ll share them with you soon.

I also went to the gym classes, but have been saddened by my normal gym instructor leaving and moving out of the area! You know when you love how someone teaches and going to her classes was always looked forward to, well that’s just how I feel about it! There’s been a change around with different instructors and new classes so it’s all been a bit of an upheaval! I hate change and am a creature of habit, with often going to the same hotel and holiday destination with the same restaurant frequented too! Anyone else like that?
So on Wednesday I did Body Attack followed by Spin, both went okay although BA was a bit of a shock to the system, however I did them and survived… lol!
It’ll take a few weeks to settle I reckon and I’ve got a couple of others choices to try and see if I prefer them!
Do you like to change classes around or are you like me and like routine?

I’m sharing a holiday dress with you today, I was kindly gifted this one from Izabel London Clothing and think it’s going to be perfect when the warm sunny weather arrives! ☀️

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

Now isn’t white on everyone’s holiday list! I do try to take at least one white dress away with me and this year I was pleased to include this Broderie Anglais midi * from Izabel London.

A stylish and comfortable dress that’s 100% cotton you can look no further for a stunning summer midi that has you covered for all your Summer outings. It’s a relaxed fit, so possibly size down for a tighter fit, but let’s face it in hotter weather it’s nice to feel more relaxed and cooler.

It’s also got flattering 3/4 sleeves, which have a bell appearance, along with an appealing v neckline. I like the length too, it’s finishes just above my ankle making this the perfect dress for enjoying the nightlife on enchanting evening walks at dusk - take me back to Majorca please. 🙏

‘Fully lined’ are words I like to hear! No need for an extra slip under this beauty, we all like to wear less layers in the heat don’t we!

Here’s the tiered hem that’s so effective for femininity. It sits well with tanned legs and white mules.  I’ve had these for a few years and never fail to emphasise an elegant outfit. These are similar and worth adding to your Summer collection.

Final addition my faithful basket bag (this is stunning from Debenhams) I can’t stress enough how having one of these will be a godsend. My best friend bought me this a few years ago and it’s still going strong … many thanks Mrs W 🥰

Thanks very much for being here, I love having you stop by. Hope to see you on Monday for Style not Age with my four friends.
Have a lovely weekend, I’m going to a gin and nibbles party!
Cheerio for now. X

  1. I love a white broderie dress for summer, particularly with a straw bag. I'm like you with gym instructors. My heart sinks when the normal Pilates instructor is away! x

  2. I just wore my white eyelet dress (broderie anglaise) on Sunday and took pictures for a blog post next month. I love the flow of yours. It is such a summery style. Love it!

  3. The eyelet detailing on your dress is so pretty!

  4. You look beautiful in your white Broderie Anglais dress! It is the perfect choice for summer and would definitely be great for wearing on a holiday. I love the feminine style of the dress and that the eyelet is so intricate and in different sizes. Thanks so much for favoriting my outfit from last week. Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for sharing and the link up party!

  5. Your holiday dress looks beautiful and perfect for summer! I love the sound of the white Broderie Anglais midi dress. It’s great that it’s fully lined and has a relaxed fit. Your styling tips are so helpful, and the basket bag is a lovely touch. Thanks for sharing!

  6. You seem excited about the upcoming weather and your recent shopping trip for new outfits. It's a bummer about your favorite gym instructor leaving, but trying out new classes might bring some new favorites. Can't wait to see you in that holiday dress when the sun finally comes out!

  7. What a stunning summer dress! The tote is the perfect bag with it. Thanks for the link up!

  8. Such a gorgeous dress! I workout at home so I don't have to worry about instructors changing, but when I did a lot of gym classes I had my favourites and didn't like it when they were away. It's good to try different classes though. Hope you're having a great weekend!

  9. This dress is absolutely stunning!!! I love everything about it, and you look fabulous in it! I'm not getting emails for all your posts right now. I wonder if it's on my end as the same is true of Gail's blog.
