Styling a wrap dress from Izabel - #Chicandstylish #Linkup

Hello and welcome to the blog today.
How’s your week been?

The rain has been awful here over the past few days, either rain or dreary days have played havoc with taking photos!  I did pop out when there was a little window when the rain stopped and managed to grab these shots and I have to say I’m chuffed with them!

It’s still a little early for me to put a dress on as it’s quite chilly, but this classic wrap will be playing an important part when the season finally arrives - it’s got a lot of scope because there’s so many shoes, jackets and cardigans I’m going to wear it with, I do hope you don’t tire of it! 😚

I’m sure you’re going to like my black and white dress* do let me know what you think of the red accents. ❤️

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

I’m so often drawn to neutral colours - so black & white dresses are plentiful in my wardrobe. They’re just so versatile and can be worn with all the plain shades like black, white, nude and tan for a very classic & sophisticated feel. However add in a coloured jacket or bright pair of shoes and you’ve got a whole new look - a fun, outfit that will not only brighten your mood but make you stand out too!

I was pleased to have been gifted this stylish dress from the big choice Izabel London have on their website. I had a good look though and found umpteen dresses that caught my eye.  Are you a fan of dresses or do you prefer separates?

Let me talk you through my favourite bits. For starters it’s a midi length which, as you know is perfect for me. I find this style the most flattering and always makes me feel very chic. It’s also got 3/4 sleeves which is what a Spring dress needs, as I still feel the cold until the humid temperatures of a hot Summer ensues.
A wrap dress isn’t always the best style for me as the bust can be a bit too big, but the ratio of this one fits me nicely. With a sturdy tie belt on the outside and a smaller but firm one on the inside, this dress isn’t going to move in any way shape or form. It’s got plenty of fabric to cover up my legs too, nothing worse than a dress with insufficient fabric which could flash more skin than desired!

With a deep gypsy style frill on the hem and a big bold pattern this midi is going to get lots of brownie points and flattering comments, you’re going to be thrilled with this purchase (linked above ⬆️).

I just had to show off this jacket, it was one of my Mother’s Day presents (my hints didn’t fall on deaf ears yay). I saw it in River Island and fell hook line and sinker for it - I knew immediately it would be super on and would completely transform so many styles! What a stunner it is.
The deep crimson is so dramatic and it stands out brilliantly against my black and white beauty, you could say a match made in heaven. 🖤🤍❤️

Obviously bag choice my square LK Bennett bag, again it’s just like the jacket and jumps right out at you. Things to note, it’s got two handles, one long and two shorter for a formal look, an inside pocket and contrasting leather and suede mix.
