Wearing a Jenerique London Floral Dress.

Good morning.
How’s your weekend gone?

Mine has flown by as per usual, it seems one minute it’s Friday evening and the weekend is stretched out in front of me and the next it’s Monday morning. But on the plus side it does mean I get to spend it with you!

Now don’t get too excited but ‘news flash’ I actually went out on Saturday night! I know, I know out two weeks in a row! It’s been ages but worth the wait. We celebrated St. Patricks day with four friends in our local pub. The drinks were flowing as were the laughs. I even had two or three shots of baby Guinness! Which were delicious and very ‘moorish’ so as you can imagine it was a slow day on Sunday with me not wanting to get out of bed to go watch my granddaughter play football. I’m pleased I did because it made me feel so much better and even though they didn’t win, Amelia managed to get another hatrick! Very proud Nan moment I can say. Home to a roast dinner for … wait for it … three! Yes not the usual riotous Sunday dinner and somewhat quieter than normal & all finished by a reasonable 4pm!! It was nice to have a bit more evening so I could slump in the chair and catch a few zzzz’s .. lol!

I’ve been starting to think about Spring weddings and special occasions and wanted the share this beautiful floral with you, even though I’ve not got any weddings this year, but if I had this would be top of my list! Do you have any events that this style might be suitable for?

Item’s marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

Florals scream weddings to me, there’s something ultra feminine about flouncy flowery dresses that make me want to attend a wedding and the floatier the better lol!
So why do we love florals? They’ve been a staple in women’s fashion for many years ranging from small subtle designs to larger in-your-face patterns with so many more in between. Floral dresses are incredibly versatile and can be dressed up or down as the outing dictates. Are you a floral wearer?

If you’re thinking about a reasonably priced dress for that special event then look no further as Jenerique have a big selection of stunning dresses that will fit the bill nicely.
Having worked with them in the past I wasn’t disappointed with my choice today and you can see my other picks here, here and here.

For one they are so comfortable having an insole that’s padded and a relatively low heel that’s still appealing because it’s a fancy shape.

This pretty floral is basically a midi wrap dress but it’s fixed in place which is good. It does up by a zip in the side so you can be sure it won’t gape or move about. The Sunday down the front is lovely too, adds just that bit extra of ladylike appeal I so love to have. It’s covered in a riot of flowers. They appear to be pink, but you could probably match a light red into the equation for an extra wear!
You can find this pretty blue dress * on the website for under £50, now isn’t that good to hear? It fits true to size so would suggest buying your usual fit.

Now you can see there’s a whole host of colour-ways I could go for but had decided from the start I’d wear my new sling-back shoes (you may remember them from last week). For one they are so comfortable having an insole that’s padded and a relatively low heel that’s still appealing because it’s a fancy shape. The other reason is obviously the suede blue matched so well it was a no-brainer!

Do have a lookout on my IG account as I’ll be showing it off with pink accessories, they look super cute too!

Here
are those fancy additions, the flirty sleeves and tie belt making it a perfect all rounder.
I love the elegant finish of the layered wrap, especially as it’s got the frilly section. It’s really a very ladylike finish don’t you think?

Thanks so much for being here, let me know what you’d wear to a Spring wedding my friends.
See you on Thursday for the linkup and next Monday - it’s the last one of the month so I’ll be joining the Style not Age ladies for our latest challenge - do stop by as it’s a good one!
Cheerio for today. X

  3. Perfect accessories for this pretty dress! Sounds like lots of fun this past weekend. It has been busy here with friends of my oldest basically living with us: one wrecked his car and has been needing a ride to school so he pretty much lived here last week. It will be quieter this weekend though!
