Watercolour Shirt and Faux Leather Skirt - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hello it's so lovely to have you here.
Have you had a great week?

I'm back down to earth and really starting to feel like wanting Spring to arrive.
I've just got back from my little weekend skiing (post to follow) and have had the best time with David.
The builders are also back, so the new build is steaming ahead again.  We're starting to think about roof joists (do I sound like I know what I'm talking about) so the shell is nearly up!

I have to apologise for the lateness of this posts, you see when I opened up my computer last night, it decided not to work.  I left it alone as it was late, and opened it up again this morning - alas it's still not working and I feel like my hands have been cut off!  David has very kindly let me use his, so all being well this will be my saviour until mine is fixed!

So let's talk about today's outfit.  I've long been a fan of Salamander Shirts and quite often feature one on the blog, you can see this pretty floral with dark jeans here, my pretty pale blue pinstripe here and this leopard print classic here to name but a few.  I've also shared a stunning peacock one as well!

Items marked with * have been gifted to me however, these are 100% my own honest comments.

My outfits are crying out for better weather now, I'm well and truly ready for Spring and some much needed vitamin d - I really need some colour on my skin.

So shall I point out the main details?
The fresh watercolour shirt* is made from soft cotton viscose, which is not only a pleasure to wear, but easy to wash and iron - very little pressing is needed and it doesn't crease, now isn't that helpful?
It's a longer length, which is always very flattering, so it can be tucked in or left lose for a more casual look.  You can see I tucked mine in thus creating a beautiful feminine shape which is enhanced by the pretty pink flowers that adorn the whole of the shirt. It has anti-gape button detail which I find really useful, I hate when a shirt pulls on the bust line don't you?  It also boasts two size button cuffs as not all of us are the same are we!

I teamed the shirt with a purchase from Vinted.  I'm fast become a big fan of the online site and both sell and buy from them with great pleasure - there site is so easy to navigate, offering purchases both brand new and pre-loved.  Selling is also very easy, the app is self explanatory and quick to use.  Do you buy or sell from them?
Anyway back to the skirt.  I was looking for an 'A' line faux leather skirt in a beige-y colour and spotted this for a snip at £4.00 plus postage, it's originally from H & M and still had the tags on it.  It arrived and couldn't wait to try it on.  It's a tad tight on the waist, but still fits well.  It's a great length for me, finishing below the knee and has the softest feel.  The shade is more oyster than beige, but I feel it still going to look super in Spring teamed with loads of the tops I already have. This will be featured on the blog again soon I'm sure.

Final additions to compliment the pink flowers were my dreamy pink bag from Teddy Blake which you can read about here and my fabulous cerise pink mules that came from Matalan - the only trouble with these is that they squeak every time I walk in them. 😁
