Readers.Com - Happy Eyes, Happy Wallet.

Hello from Mummab ... how are you all?

Some twenty years ago the idea that I would need glasses for reading never occurred to me!  Naive or stupid?  I'm not sure but now some years later glass for reading is a fact of life.  I actually hate having to wear them, specs on the end of my nose confirms just what age I am.  I've tried contact lenses which I would opt for, but feel because I'm only working indoors, doing housework or blogging it's just not worth it.  So glasses for reading it is then.  If I have to wear them, I'm going to look stylish doing it!

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

When Readers.com recently reached out to me, I jumped at the chance to try out some different styles, something I wouldn't normally chose.   With over 700 styles of different colours and options to chose from, my task was hard.
What made it even harder was the fact that I have two different prescriptions for each eye.  I have a good eye for distance which is bad for close up work, and vice versa.

No worries Readers.com accommodated my awkward contrasting eyes.  Sending me the Esme customizable Reader*.  Because these are specifically made for each eye, they're spot on for up-close & reading work, especially a DIY manicure. With three colours to chose from there will be a colourway to suit everyone.  I chose blue tortoise, but the pink or brown tortoise are just as appealing, so with the price just $70 buying all three is very tempting!

The Getty* are my favourites frames,  and they are from The Signature Collection, these round framed glasses boast quality with a premium polish.  Drawn to the colour - the pop of turquoise is a nice addition making them pretty for Spring.
I've been wearing these quite a lot since receiving them - and love how they look.  I would normally opt for something smaller, but I reckon they suit me without looking too over-bearing.  The Getty are priced at $60, a cute price for some stunning glasses.

The Rothschild* is also part of the Signature Collection, with prices just under $60.  The acetate cat eye frame comes in three colour ways, my choice of grey/dark blue are very subtle, and stylish. With a unique bamboo arm that's very flattering,  also the spring hinges make the glasses very comfortable to wear too. Both red and brown are favourable alternatives, but I'm happy with my choice

These were shipped from USA with no problems - they arrived within a few weeks, although this was over the Christmas holiday.  Also there's free shipping on certain orders over $30 - you can also save 15% off with code SAVE15.

I need glasses for working on a computer screen, think it's all those years of working in IT that did it, haha!

  20. Those glasses are adorable on you! I am on my way to readers but for now I just wear glasses for astigmatism correction...and I'm slack about wearing them. Probably not good. Have a wonderful weekend and know you're looking so stylish as you read. ;)
