Pleated skirt with tassel boots!

Hiya or should I say ma' a as-salama.

As we "speak" you'll find this over fifty fashion blogger is on her way to Abu Dhabi to watch the final Grand Prix of the year.  I've been feeling both excited and nervous to visit this mysterious place, eager to find out for myself just what it's really like. I've packed a collection of clothes that hopefully will be suitable for this Arabian city.

So as I'm off on my hols' I'm sharing a purchase I found in the M & S sale some weeks ago....

Wanting a pleated skirt for ages I finally found the right one.  I wanted a neutral tone, so I could add different colours to give an alternative look.  My skirt is cream but has a gold tone to it.  Finding this blouse in my charity pile, I snatched it back out quickly, knowing the colours and style would be well placed with my skirt.  Tassels add extra interest from my cream boots, also matching my cream blazer.

I bought this bead necklace back from Spain a few years ago, It comes in handy every once in a while, obliging my outfit last week when the photos were taken.

Tiny raspberry, white and navy flowers on a taupe background makes this shirt interesting.  I think the reason I relegated this blouse to the charity pile was the size, or should I say my size - I was too big for it!
So it seems I may have lost weight toned up because it fits me now - great I'll keep it for the time being!

Let's hope you don't get bored of my skirt as it's going to get plenty of airings in the next few months - watch out for what I pair it with next.
I've also spotted a couple of other pleated beauties in M & S, what's more they're trend of the season  AND velvet!
