I'm off to Sicily tomorrow and I can't wait. David and I have had a few holidays this year, but it will be nice to get away and be just the two of us! David has always wanted to visit this little island off of Italy's boot, he's a big fan of the film The Godfather and has watched it more times than I can remember! Anyway let me tell you a bit about my day yesterday. I was lucky enough to go to lunch with my sister. We went for my birthday treat and had a wonderful few hours dining at The Pig in Bridge.
It holds special memories for us both as years ago it used to be a Country Club with a nightclub within it. I've had many an enjoyable evening dancing and drinking the night away so we had lots of stories to chat about. The venue is now a very interesting old building with plenty of hidden dining areas, secret stairways, comfortable sitting locations, a lively terrace overlooking the vegetable patch and of course, some deliciously tasty food.
