Chanel Style Skirt - #Chicandstylish #linkup

Morning my friends.
How are you all doing my over fifty blogging friends?
Enjoying the warmer weather I hope.  There's nothing better than sitting in the garden with the birds singing and sun shining, when the days become longer and more attractive to work outside.  Our garden is starting to come together, after spreading seeds and tidying the pots.  I'd love to have a fully laid out oasis, but they just take so much time to look beautiful.  I'm going to start small and work my way up to that!

A few weeks ago, Esther and I took advantage of the beautifully bright day and headed to the surrounding fields.  I wanted to share what i'd picked up in the M & S sale, so with no rain and a sunny climes I ditched my jeans, unveiled my legs (very white legs) and wore this skirt!

I'm just about getting to grips with mixing up my outfits, putting colours together that i'd not normally match.  So when I bought this skirt in M & S a few months ago I'd planned on teaming it with my pink cashmere jumper, now that's not really very different is it?  What about adding a splash of red, and that's just what I did. Well there's both red and pink in the skirt (along with navy and white). My blast of crimson came by way of these red slingbacks  and sassy red crossover bag.  I like these and this one.

Having always liked the Chanel style mini skirt, they just look very chic and so elegant.  When I found it in the sale I didn't hesitate and bought without even trying it on.  Rather pleased to have fitted into the size 12, it was a keeper - after all I need smaller sizes now don't I!

I worn my cerise pink cashmere jumper (this is similar) so many times since receiving it for Christmas, so it's really been a worthwhile present.  It was just spot on for warmth in the sunshine, and not too hot.

The Chanel inspired skirt sits just on the knee making it the perfect length for me, so along with the frayed edges & spring colours it's turned out to be everything I like.  Mine is sold out now, but this is a fabulous alternative.

  3. Don't you feel special when you mix bold colors like this? Most "ordinary" people would do the pink on top and then go for a neutral shoe - I LOVE the red bag and shoes - really makes the look! So well done Jacqui!
