How I wear my "off-the-shoulder" top.

Today I'd like to show you how I wear my "off-the-shoulder" top.

I've mentioned before that I don't think this style of top works for me, having wide shoulders plus all I see are younger girls sporting this style with skinny jeans and looking so gorgeous, that's two reasons for me not going with it.  However I'm happy to say I can still wear this beautiful blouse but in a different way.
Here's how I wear said style and I hope you agree it still looks as good.

A pencil skirt and elegant blouse is the epitome of femininity and elegance, along with a court shoe and matching bag make for a very stylish outfit.
A recent buy from my local TK Maxx, one of my favourite stores,  an off-the-shoulder gorgeous pale khaki green and cream pattern silky blouse.  I stepped out in this beautiful blouse paired with this cream lace skirt from the Florence and Fred Sale see my previous post here, along with my sling back nude court shoes from a stunning range at Lotus Shoes.

The silky blouse is an off-the-shoulder style that I pulled up onto my neckline in a deep scoop, with sleeves just about finishing at the elbow with a darling little tie detail that I love.  I tied them quite tight for this wearing, because I was eating out and didn't want the ties to drag in my dinner plate - not a good look - haha!

This is the choice I made for my bank holiday Monday afternoon of shopping and dinner for two.  After checking out various restaurants we decided to plump for an intimate little Italian near the town centre.
I can honestly say we had an amazing three course meal in Osteria Posillipo, consisting of Antipasti, Scallops wrapped in bacon, Salmon pennette, chicken escalopes with Parma ham and mozzarella followed by cannoli - perfect meal for two people - along with a couple of beers! (only one for me as I drove).

Well I do hope you like my way of wearing the off-the-shoulder top. In fashion with a hint of classic.

Until next time - thanks it's been great. X

Culottes, Tan Blazer & Pretty White Blouse - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hi there my friends.
How's it going?
We've had some brilliant weather here in the UK recently, I hope you've been blessed with some warm rays.
I'm getting the garden into shape and today after ballet I'm off to the garden center to pick up some new flowers.  I really enjoy being in the garden and would happily work outside than do any housework or cooking!  As it was so hot yesterday we had a BBQ of burgers and sausages, we all agreed a basic menu like this is sometimes all you want!
I'm on day 10 of no alcohol and calorie counting - it's going well so far - so I'm hoping I can trim down again.  I'm also back to my spin classes, I absolutely love working out and even though I find it bloomin' hard work I know I feel better for it.  My dancing classes are open again, so I've been having fun getting back into the swing of them too.

Did you miss any of last month's posts?  You can catch them all in one on Monday's post featuring my May Review.

Had my 2nd jab on Monday, all went well and we even managed to have a bite to eat in a local restaurant.  The little Italian called Posillipo is in the center of Canterbury and was rather busy for a Monday night.  We had a table inside and devoured our dishes washed down with a beer (zero for me) - no wine on a school night of course. 😆  I wonder if you saw my dishes on Instagram? Hope I didn't make you jealous?  I had Scalopine Di Pollo with a side order of Spinaci - what more can I say it was delicious.

I've been wearing lots of dresses over the past few days, it's been too hot to wear much else.  I wanted to share this pretty blouse with you today.  I need to wear it with a pretty white skirt, but first I need to get a pretty white skirt - lol. X

A Busy Week calls for a Relaxed Weekend.

Hello and welcome my lovely friends.
How you all doing?

I've not been feeling the whole blogging and social media thing recently, you see I've been doing Jury Service at my local court and quite honestly found it not only hard work, but quite exhausting and draining.  Having not worked for a few years now, the whole aspect of getting myself up and ready in the morning quite a shock!  Coupled with the fact it wasn't a particularly nice case I'm honestly glad it's all over.  Even posting blogs and IG posts seemed like hard work for me, so please excuse my lack of visits, comments and likes.  I'm back now and looking forward to getting back to work!

On Saturday it was nice to do something a little different.  Hubby and I accompanied our youngest son to Putney in London, where he took part in a sculling time-trial race on the Thames.  We enjoyed a few hours on the river bank sampling a couple of drinks, a bite to eat and to watch not only the race, but the world go by.  It was a busy little environment with all sorts of people going about their Saturday's and it was so nice to see a bit more normality.
Saturday night we relaxed with a takeaway and a good crap film!  Yep you read correctly it was an absolutely awful film featuring John Travolta and Morgan Freeman.  Eye for an eye was supposed to be an American Thriller but left me almost laughing at some ludicrous scenes that had me wondering just how these two famous actors agreed to appear - definitely wouldn't recommend this film at all!

Yesterday was a very lazy Sunday, we cleared a few jobs in the house and as most of the kids were doing their own thing we decided not to cook a roast dinner and venture into town to our local Posillipo restaurant to have our 'usual' choice of dinner.  Nice to have a meal served to me and not having to cook it myself ... bliss. X

I'm hoping to get out to the shops to see all the new Autumn looks that have been arriving.  I'll also be going through my clothes as I know there's so many I've not worn over the past year or so and it will be nice to sort and replace anything I don't need.  Have you bought any new pieces for the new season yet?  Do tell if you have.
