M & S Blouse three ways or more!

Hi there lovelies, how you all doing?
I have to say I've had a wonderful weekend, you might be thinking I been out shopping, out for a interesting evening or spending the night with great company, eating gourmet food and drinking delicious wine, but you'd be wrong.  Actually I've been gardening with hubby and then sitting on the sofa watching TV with a takeaway!  I've had a brilliant weekend.  The weather was delightful, warm and sunny with a real Spring feel which is about bloody time really!  Better weather always gives me a spring in my step along with renewed energy that evades me over the winter period.  We managed to cut the grass, trim the hedge and generally tidy up some of our over-grown garden.  So happy with the results, but there's still a lot to do.

Do you remember the pretty lilac blouse I purchased from good old M & S?  Turns out my former 5Over50 colleague Gail had bought the very same one!

Now there's an idea, let's get together and collaborate with this classic blouse in the fashionable colour violet ...
...and that's just what we did!

The first outfit with my chiffon blouse is with my frayed cropped jeans, I wore a grey jumper over the shirt.  Something I picked up on another blog is to wear a thin strap tee shirt between a blouse and jumper - this holds the shirt in place and smooths down any lumps or bumps that might be there. Picking out the grey in the blouse works really well.  Adding interest with my silver Zara bag and some navy court shoes.  I nearly live in these jeans, I just love the fit, length and the DIY frayed effect.  I'm on the look-out for a lighter coloured jean, which I'll wear in the summer with just about anything too!

Having both grey and cream colourings in this pretty shirt it's easy to see why it looks equally as pleasing with my gold pleated skirt.

For my final look I wanted to try and think way outside my comfort zone, so this is what I came up with.  I wasn't sure about the colour scheme as it was something I'd not seen, however checking out Pinterest I found that these tones go really great together.
Green & lilac - match made in heaven?  Let me know what you think, because I love hearing from you. 😘

Satisfied with my worthy purchase, now I've seen how Gail has styled her blouse, there's three more looks I can copy. x

Let's take a look at Gail's style.
She has paired her blouse with these rather cute tassel trousers that are from River Island & also a Parisian mauve beret.  Very oh la la Gail.

You can find more of her appealing styles featuring this effortlessly stylish blouse on her blog

Thanks for visiting today, I do hope both Gail and I have given you food for thought when buying an item.  Look for the different ways to wear each piece, flirt with different garments to find new mixes then you certainly will be getting value for your money.

Hope to see you on Thursday where I'll be hosting another #chicandstylish #linkup. I will also be sharing another exceptional outfit from Bonmarche.

Bye for now. X

  9. Great looks Jacqui, I love the blouse paired with the gold skirt. It also works well with yellow. I discovered that by chance when I had the blouse hanging next to a yellow fleece.
