Style Steal - Pale blue and pink.

Hi there, March Style Steal has arrived!

Who's style have I chosen this month?  I'm really happy with how this copy looks.  These sweet soft pastels remind me that Spring is only round the corner - hurrah!

With awful weather in the cold winter months, the only thing that seems to lift everyone's spirits is some pretty spring-like colours, as well as a holiday if you're lucky enough! 😉

I do hope you stopped by last Thursday, my first linkup was in full swing, I'm so grateful for all of you who added a post - there were plenty to look through with some wonderful styles and informative blogs to peruse over.   Another #chicandstylish linkup will go live on Thursday - maybe you can stop by too. X

Looking back over these photos I'm so glad I had my fringe trimmed, I hate peering out from under my bangs it's way too heavy a look for me!

Back to this month's Style Steal ...
This charming outfit caught my eye last month, and I couldn't get it out of my mind.  Knowing exactly what I could use to replicate it - one problem, part of the outfit was my daughters Christmas present which I thought she was returning!  Hold on right there my love, let me borrow the jumper for my Style Steal before you return it please.  Such a shame, she was out of time for the return, so someone (me) has bagged themselves a beautiful pale blue jumper!
With fluted cuffs and a frilly stand up neck, the cable knit jumper is quite a statement. The soft knit feels smooth and comforting on the skin.  Sometimes I struggle to wear knitted fabrics as they can be itchy, but this is perfect for me.

My steal is from Lizzie in lace, she's sharing her prettiest winter colour combination. Her blog features beautifully feminine styles, in subtle colours and a touches of sparkle in just the right places!

Let's take a more in-depth look at my copy.
So you already know about the jumper.  The skirt is new to the blog, but ancient to me.  I bought this in Matalan about 4 years ago.  I love a pencil skirt and a stretchy one is even better!  Drawn by the lace design and the length, It's a wonderful Spring/Summer item that pairs with plenty.  I've taken it on holiday, (great because it doesn't crease) worn it with jumpers as well as blouses and tee shirts!  Pretty versatile I'd say.

My pea coat also came from Matalan a few years ago, I bought it for a weekend away in the UK, and have worn it umpteen times - in fact so have two of my daughters!  Both items have long gone from the store, but I've added a link to similar items. (see below)
Do you remember my gifts from Happiness Boutique?  They've made an appearance on the blog again, becoming the perfect copy for Lizzie's sparkly gems.

Just switching in blush pink boots instead of Lizzie's gorgeous lace up court shoes.  I reckon they still look very much at home with the whole pastel parcel.

The statement sleeves are still going from strength to strength, they are so feminine and dainty and can make an outfit very lady-like indeed.  I felt very chic wearing this skirt and jumper ensemble, I wish I could wear this sort of outfit everyday, but it's just not feasible for housework and running errands!

Esther Ruby took my photos - thanks so much Hun. xx

Glad you could join me today - looking forward to seeing you soon, maybe on Thursday for my next #chicandstylish #linkup!

Bye for today. X

  9. OMG I love your look. The skirt is divine because of the material but then the sweater and its ruffles. Oh. Next, the color mix which you did so well.

And you may have looked to Liz' for inspiration. Her outfit is wonderful. However, you turned it into something completely different in your own way.
