How are you all doing?
Did you know I had four of my grandkids last weekend? My daughter and her husband were away for a long weekend so David and I had the kids for three nights. They were so good, even little Kimberley who’s only 4 was very good for us, she missed her mummy and daddy, but handled the whole situation really well, maybe that’s because she’s the youngest child, they are quite resilient aren’t they? (Youngest child right here)!
It was hectic, as you can imagine, and I honestly don’t know how I managed to bring up five children! I realise I was so much younger and dare I say more able, but I’m rather impressed to having done it! Raising five kids wasn’t an easy task!!
So I didn’t get any new photographs over the weekend, I hardly had time to look at my phone at times, therefore I’m looking back to some previous looks to share with you today.
I bought a brown jumper in M&S a couple of weeks ago and thought I’d show you a few ways I’m going to incorporate it into my outfits.
If you follow me on IG you might have seen this reel featuring the brown jumper. It was only £18 in Marks & Spencer. I wanted to add some staples to my wardrobe and this seemed the obvious choice. It’s just a basic long sleeve, slightly fitted knit that’s a perfect addition. I noticed it came in a few other ‘autumnal’ colours but felt chocolate was the best option for me - knowing how many items I’ve already got that will compliment the jumper.
I immediately reached for my red trousers.(Similar). These are a lightweight wide leg option but I’ve also got a cropped pair (that you can see here) which will work really well too. There’s something about red and brown that works harmoniously don’t you think. There’s something beads were a last minute pick, mainly because of the colours. I added brown dolly shoes and a bright red bag. I’ll be reaching for a tan jacket in cooler days, or possibly this funnel neck faux leather.
Another super pairing is pale blue. It’s a classic choice that’s still high in the fashion stakes. Have you worn these two together yet? The shirt has a stripped design boasting a pocket, long sleeves and a longer length so it’ll show underneath the top layer. Layering is key for the season isn’t it! The barrel leg jeans are also from M&S but are available in most shops or online stores. I sized down in M&S though.
I switched the shirt for a jacket which dressed the look up by a couple of notches. This little tweed version has been a brilliant choice for my wardrobe as it looks super work casually over denim but looks right at home over more formal items like tailored trousers - watch out for those soon!
I slipped on an old pair of mules which are pale blue too! They’re from Lotus shoes a few seasons ago but still in fashion so look great in this mix.
Coffee and cream vibes next with cream, or more importantly ecru barrel leg jeans - also from M&S and a valued part of an autumn wardrobe. I bought these at the end of Spring and they are again coming into their own with cooler days on the horizon. I popped on my leopard print belt. Pulling in the tan with my big tote bag. This is a wonderful shopping outfit, especially with the bag which can hold all those essential purchases!
