I'm pleased you stopped by today as I've an exciting pair of boots to share with you.

Firstly a little about my week.  It's been a mixture so far with a day out shopping with two of my girls.  I got a hand-full of presents which are now waiting to be wrapped.  This year I'm taking on the feeling of buying with out worrying.  Every year I ponder each and every present, wasting time as I do.  I'm just over half way and am feeling very positive about the whole experience.  I think Covid has done this & probably better for it!

Tuesday evening I had a "Zoom" get-together with the girls I used to work with - now I have to say "used to work with them" if not my hubby laughs when I say "the work girls" as I've not worked with them for over 30 years! 😂 DISCLAIMER:  I don't go to work, but I do work - he he.

Seven of us managed to get onto zoom and have a great evening, albeit rather annoying we had sessions of 40mins and kept having to re-connect.  We had a little quiz that I even managed to come joint first!  How that happened I'll never know! 

Today I'm staying in, well there' not much else to do, it's going to be a blogging day as I want to get things in place for the next few weeks.  It normally starts going quiet this time of the year doesn't it, so will be nice to take advantage of the down-time from blogging.

Okay about this outfit.  I worked with Hotter shoes earlier this year, and you can see the two sandals that clicked for me here & here.  I've worn them both quite a lot over the summer months and inspired my sister to buy a pair too!

It's boot season for sure and I'm a big fan of wearing them rather than shoes.  I just find them so much easier to don and the fact they keep my feet warm and comfortable.  I've even started wearing short ankle versions with dresses and skirts.

I've often seen this look on other bloggers and have shyed away from it.  It's not that I didn't like it, it's just I didn't think it suited me!  As soon as I saw the Brierley Boot* I knew they had a place on my shoe rack.  How well these fit with my outfit?  Really pleased that they not only look good but feel great too.

Embracing the Western trend the Brierley boot doesn't disappoint.  The heeled boot doesn't detract from all the comforts of Hotter Shoes, with a breathable padded foam footbed that cushions and supports the foot.  The leather covered block heel allows for extra height without losing any stability.  I managed to hop and jump about in the un-even woodlands when taking shots 👍 As they are the softest suede and light coloured I've sprayed mine with a protector - you can pick a can up in most supermarkets or shoe menders. 

Now you've seen all the pieces on the blog before, skirt from Primark can be seen here - styled with boots and jumper.  My off-white chunky knitwear is c/o good old H & M, I've had this jumper for ages, but the store is always full of all sorts of sweaters at this time of year.  I've spotted loads I want!

I cinched mine in with a cheapy belt from Primark - they have loads to offer for very reasonable prices and are handy as stocking fillers.

Sizes start at 3 ranging up to 9 with some half sizes inbetween.  I wear a 6.5 and can confirm they are TTS.  I opted for Camel, but there's two other choices of Jet Black and Rich Tan to drool over!  What would you go for?  

Love the stitching details, they look even better IRL and I'm tempted to get the Rich Tan too what-der-ya-think?
