Hope you are okay.
Last Monday of the month means the ladies gather together for the Style not Age challenge.
This month’s prompt fell into the hands of Emma and she’s given us the topical challenge of … Polka Dots.
I don’t have much in the way of spots in my wardrobe the only item I can really think of is a red and white spotty scarf. So I had to go looking and found this fab jumpsuit in Peacocks that looks stunning on. It’s one of those outfits you can dress up with heels and a fancy necklace for a night out or add flats or comfy sandals with a daytime bag and you’ve got an outfit suitable for a stroll to the club or family bbq.
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
As I mentioned above I hadn’t much to fall back on for this challenge so headed for my local Peacocks to checkout what they had on offer. As soon as I saw this brown spotted number I knew it would suit me and just had to incorporate it into this post. It works perfectly don’t you think. I’ll get plenty of use from this pull on and go all-in-one, it’s so easy to wear!
I also love the little sleeve, I like to have something to cover the tops of my arms, these can be pulled down for a Bardot style too! Brown is still prevalent in the fashion stakes and with the off white polka dots makes it desirable for Summer wear without looked to dark.
The bust is shirred, so equally as flattering and still very comfortable to wear. I did size up as I wanted a little extra room, which is good for warmer weather. Anyone else do this when it gets hot?
You can also add a little jumper over the top when the weather gets cooler or even a little jacket like this one I featured last week!
I love this cute straw bag.* It was kindly gifted from Damart when I went to see the Spring Summer collection
It’s got tan additions with a long strap handle and clasp. Tan and straw are the perfect combination.
To keep this look suitably casual I popped on my wedge espadrilles from New Look. They’re cream with a tie detail that I finished on the ankle. They have proven really comfortable in the past and are a must for a holiday suitcase. Do have a look at these which are similar.
So let’s have a look at what the other ladies picked.
Firstly we turn to Emma who’s challenge this was, got her look spot on! I love the bold blast of her bright blue skirt adorn with yellow spots! Find out more about her look over on Style Splash.
Next here’s Anna’s look featuring polka dot trainers and some very fancy trousers. You can read how Anna put this together on her blog Anna’s Island Style.
Finally Hilda opted for this casual ensemble.
You can read all about how her outfit came together on her blog Over the Hilda.
Good to see you here, thanks for dropping in. Do have a look at our previous challenges starting with this one from March, or this one from last April featuring my favourite pink dress.
Until next time …
Cheerio. X
