Neutrals, Brown Vest Top and Gold Buttons.

Happy new week everyone.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

It’s a busy week for me as I’m away on Thursday so there’s lots to get done.
Over the weekend I finished off the hedge, that bloomin’ hedge will be the death of me! Obviously it continues to grow and grow therefore it’s an ongoing task that never gets any easier and never stops!
I also helped David in the new build, even getting to grips with the drilling screws into the correct position. Do have a look at my IG account Mummabbuilds for a little tour of the work so far! It’s also been really nice to start taking about layouts of the bathrooms and en-suites etc.
After a quick shower and hair wash I got myself ready for a night out with my daughter for a cocktail making party for my sister-in-law’s 60th birthday. What a fun night it was. We were shown how to make two cocktails, a porn star Martin and a peach whisky smash - both delicious and quite easy to do actually. I also had a few pink Proseccos along with some pulled pork, couscous and snacks.

Neutrals for today’s post. You may have seen this outfit on my Instagram account as I wore it last week.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

Do you love wearing neutrals? Yes I do too and feel right at home in them. I’ve got plenty of pieces in my collection so often reach for a cream top or jumper with maybe black or brown trousers. Now it has been said that wearing beiges and neutrals tend to be boring but I disagree. Wearing browns, tans and creams bring an air of sophistication so bring on those classic styles.

Isn’t this just an awesome top? I wasn’t sure if I liked it on the hanger but as soon as I pulled it on, I knew it was right. The fit, the colours and the gold embellishments over it add that little bit extra. We all need that bit extra don’t we! The sparkly top from Izabel London * is every bit as exciting as it looks - head over to the website for all the deets.

I picked my tan trousers which picked out one of the colours perfectly. These are a wide leg style and have a pleat on the front by the side pockets. Mine are previous season, but I’ve found these that would be an excellent copy.

I always like to have a belt with my trousers and jeans. I just feel it’s the final touches that make an outfit. I’m wearing my favourite Ralph Lauren which has a detachable buckle, and therefore can be switched around. The leather belt is smooth brown leather on one side and a crocodile finish on the other. I’ve also got a beige one that has snakeskin on the reverse!

Don’t you just love a sleeveless jumper. The vest styles are often called upon and are really the icing on the cake.
I picked this one up in F & F the other day, drawn by the unusual buttons and the chunky knit. It’s a perfect item to wear on days when the weather is in-between, which we often have here in the UK!!

Did you spot my brown suede & leather bag*. I’m pleased to be affiliated with Elie Beaumont and this is one of her new offerings from the new collection. The crescent shape has proved to be really popular and as soon as I opened the parcel I could see why. The quality is amazing. It’s got a double zip, adjustable handle and two interior pockets, one that has a zip so you can keep precious items extra safe. Watch out for this one in the future because it’s going to get lots of air time! 😄 Don’t forget to use my personal code JQ10 for a discount on this or any other stunning arm candy!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, it’s much appreciated.
Catch you again on Thursday for the party - linky party that is!
Bye for now. X
