Good morning everyone.
How are you doing?
Another fab week since we last spoke, I’ve been enjoying some of my recent purchases and it’s been nice playing around with the different pieces and styling them.
Predominantly I’ve been wearing browns, creams with splashes of red and I’ve even managed to find some leopard print dolly shoes that have finished off many of my looks nicely.
Dinner arrangements for hubby and I have been great. After a busy house on Sunday with 18 for a family roast dinner we got payback and ate at my daughter’s house followed by a meal with my son and his girlfriend the next evening. I’ve got to cook tonight but I’ve got something nice planned that’s in the freezer so no issues for me this week. Who else hates deciding what’s for dinner?
Exciting day today. You see I’m out with my daughters and we’re wedding dress shopping! My youngest is getting married next year so today, hopefully she’ll say “yes to the dress” I’ll let you know how we get on!
Sharing a typical ‘me’ outfit of late - leopard print is playing an important part for my Autumnal wardrobe and these stunning bow shoes bring a bit of chic to my look.
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
Cropped trousers are good for this changeable season because the length still gives a nod to summer when you can wear a mule or sling back style that keeps feet a tad warmer but doesn’t totally feel like your dressing for winter. Also short styles won’t drag if the rain arrives which could otherwise ruin a bright trouser like mine. Nothing worse than having stained hems eh?
I've had these red beauties for a while and you might remember seeing them when I wore them in Amiens for our friends’ birthday weekend. They were gifted to me from Klass, but even though they are now sold out remain a popular style for this season so you should find similar on the high street. Checkout these from Oliver Bonas.
Aren’t the shoes great. Sling-backs * are a very flattering style to wear and I’ve got a few in my wardrobe and it was an obvious choice for me to pick these when I was approached by Shoeaholics asking if I’d like to style something from the Carvela range. The bows are fabulous and really take them up a notch brining fun and classic together nicely.
With better weather the other day I grabbed a plain tee and popped this black waistcoat * over it. It’s got buttons down the front that can open but I doubt I’ll ever wear it like that. It’s much smarter done up and the layers worked well for keeping me at just the right temperature.
I’m also enjoying neck scarves. It’s a good way to add interest into an outfit and a cheap way of introducing patterns. Wear them around your neck in a host of different ways or even in the hair, around your cuff or maybe on your bag - I love doing this!

What a lovely mix of pieces, Jacqui. The leopard print and bow shoes are so fun! I really like how you’re using cropped trousers and light layers for this in-between season. And how exciting about the wedding dress shopping; can’t wait to hear if she found ‘the one’!
