With lock-down starting to ease slightly I can't help but feel anxious about it all. With so many questions & everybody's interpretation slightly different. Who knows what's the best thing to do. I'll carry on the same as I have been doing - trying to use the home delivery service, keeping shop visits to a minimum and seeing my family and friends using the 2m social distance rule. I'm hearing my daughter might be able to start easing off shielding which will be both exciting and worrying too - it's a bitter-sweet experience for everyone isn't it!
June was supposed to be my son's wedding month - that has now been postponed to October. I'm keeping everything crossed that this will go ahead, which begs the question what to wear? I've got an idea in mind, and will be on the look-out! Bearing in mind the season will have changed so the style and shade might have to change. I'll be sharing a gorgeous outfit from JJ's House this month which could be a contender. 👍
So along with June arriving it's also time to share what I wore over the past month for my
May Review.
If you missed any of my posts, here's how you can see them again.
Way back at the beginning of May I was sharing a very versatile little top from Bonmarche along with some super comfortable jeans. Both were and still are easy-to-wear and feel soft & relaxing on. The Sara jeans have an elastic waist which proved a brilliant asset for me, they have come in handy over the past few weeks when my eating and drinking habits have reversed my hard work on the Keto diet!!! With not much to enjoy or look forward to I'm relishing way too much my dinners and pre-dinner beverages. Lol Both items were kindly gifted to me.
Pink is my favourite colour and it gives me a good feeling when I wear it. Take these pink jeans, the soft pastel pink works more like a neutral shade thus making the patterned shirt dress stand-out. I've got plenty of wear out of this beauty both in winter over jeans and a jumper and in summer teamed over a t-shirt on cooler days or nights around the BBQ. Do stop by the blog for more details and an insight into my days.
Who else has had a Lock-down birthday? With lots of my family having had their birthdays recently mine was just one more added to the list. Although my family made sure each one was as special as it could be and mine was no exception. A big plus was having my daughter and her family living with me, it was nice to wake-up to them in the house. Do pop by and read all about my day and check out my stylish culottes as well as the delicious meal we had delivered, oh and there was cake, lots of cake too!
The end of May had me styling an outfit based around the prompt Welcome to the Jungle. You found me having fun wearing a jumpsuit and I was pleased to squeeze into my daughters leopard design that had wide legs, flattering details and long sleeves.
You can also see my counterparts wearing their jungle fancies with flair and attitude.
You might have seen there were less posts this month - mainly due to not having photos on hand to use and inspiration just not happening. With lock-down easing slightly hopefully things will be changing for the better. I can't wait for the fashion stores to re-open as I want to start shopping for some summer clothes as I hate shopping on-line! What about you?
I still run my weekly #LINKUP and would love you all to join the #Chicandstylish party every Thursday my friends.
Catch you on Thursday for the next party. Have a great week too. I have my son's birthday on Thursday then a bit of a break on the birthday's front, that is until my daughter's at the end of July - who knows what will be happening then!
Thanks for stopping by today.
