Wide Legs and Leopard Print.

Hiya my friends.
How's you weekend been?

Another hectic one for me with a wonderful wedding in the glorious sunshine on Saturday.
The weather couldn't have been better to celebrate the wedding of my friends daughter.  Everything went to plan, with mouthwatering food, drinks flowing and a cool disco to dance the night away.  I love going to a wedding, it's so nice to see everyone dressed up and seeing what the ladies have chosen to wear is one of my favourite parts.  The men looked well presented too, with my husband taking top marks for his new suit and tie - did you see IG for my photo - pop by to check us out, he looks very handsome and I think my choice was rather a winner too!
I'll be sharing a dedicated post to my latest Izabel London dress that you can peruse in the next week or so.
Today I want to share another look for my wide leg trousers.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

I've been sharing a few pieces from Matalan* over the past few months, and to be fair you'll often see Matalan mentioned on the blog.  They offer fashionable clothing, shoes, bags and jewellery at reasonable prices and I always find something to accompany me home.

So more about my look today, I actually wore this a few weeks ago as the weather is so good at the moment all I want to wear is a thin dress to keep me cool.
I found the trousers online on the New Look website, and I have them in two sizes because my perfect size is between the two,  which is actually really annoying.  For another inspiring look you can see them here paired with my pretty pink top and pink leather bag.

Leopard print is never out of the fashion scene is it!  I have plenty to savor in my wardrobe and am always on the prowl (sorry) for anything fitting the bill.  When I was asked to pick a few bits from Matalan I knew this would be on my list.  It's long sleeves so more suited to cooler evenings or when the weather changes in Autumn.  I was quite taken on the frills and tie detail, anything like that on an item always gets my attention.  I picked this in my usual size and have to admit to it being a tad big, but that's purely because of me losing a little bit of weight.  I would size down next time, but can wholeheartedly recommend you to buy your normal size from Matalan.
Unfortunately this isn't available now, but I love this alternative capped sleeve shirt*. 🖤

I picked out the pretty blue and wore this cute little bead necklace.  It's a three stranded neck piece that's made from very fine string which is like fishing line, it almost looks like the beads are floating.  I've found this one that's quite similar on Amazon.
My blue clutch brings everything together as do my neutral mules.  A great way to make the legs look longer is to add corresponding footwear.  I've had these for a few years, and I don't wear them that often because they are very high.  Every once in a while when there's not much walking involved I bring them out, the woven look is what attracted me to them - is this a style you like to wear?

You can see the draw string on the front of my blouse, it can be ruched for a cheeky peak at the tummy - not for me though I prefer to have my 'toned' stomach covered! 😜

Thanks so much for joining me today, I'm excited for tomorrow as it's my 36th Wedding Anniversary, David and I are off to dine in our favourite restaurant - do look to my IG page to see what I wear!
Cheerio for now. X

  3. I love that printed top, it's really pretty with the neutral trousers and it lets the top shine - especially when paired with the matching clutch!
