Latte Neutrals - Shopping my Wardrobe.

Morning my friends.
How you doing?
I hope you've had a wonderful bonfire weekend.
Do you celebrate Guy Fawkes night?
When the kids were younger we always went to some sort of display.  Never really did anything at home as I felt it was safer to go to an organised event.  We occasionally had a nice big bonfire, usually when we'd got wood and rubbish to get rid of.  If you did participate I hope it was warm, safe and fun to watch.

Do you remember my son winning The Doggetts Coat and Badge race?  Well on Wednesday I'm off to London with the family to attend the presentation ceremony.  It takes place at Fishmongers Hall and I'm excited to say it's a Black Tie event!  I've been to two before, but didn't wear a long evening dress ... I chose to wear cocktail dresses for both events.  But for this one I'm pulling out all the stops and wearing a glamorous long evening dress.  I'll share all the details with you soon, however the dress is black with sparkly sequins and is quite fitted (note to self, watch the diet before Wednesday) lol.

I'll leave you thinking about my gorgeous dress and I'll share this look with you that I shopped from my wardrobe.  It reminds me of my favourite coffee ... a latte.

You've seen all these pieces before, I started off with the comfy stretch jeans from Marks and Spencer.  The jeans they offer are pretty good and I have a few pairs to my name, these cream version have to be my favourites at the moment.  So what to pair with them?  I tend to keep the looks neutral ... you may recall this striking blouse I found in H & M with the cute tie front.

So let's run through this casual look I wore last Saturday.  When hubby bought me some jumpers from Shein last week, also in the parcel was three belts.  I paired this tan one with the jeans and worked my way up.  I picked my tan blouse that has this friendly ruffles down the front.  I'm all for extra details, so this pretty feminine addition was right up my street!

I added some cream stiletto boots into the mix and my lightweight trench to keep me warm.  The boots are from Primark for a snip at £20  They really have been a valuable purchase for my Autumn wardrobe & they're ultra comfy too.

I took full advantage of the slightly milder weather on Saturday, and as I was only popping into T K Maxx the jacket was sufficient.  I was looking for an evening dress to wear for London, but didn't find anything.  Came home and set about finding something online.  As I mentioned I've found the 'one' I really like, but with two more supposed to arrive today (Monday) I may change my mind again ....😆

My chuck-it-all-in-bag completed the look.  I've had this tan beauty for years.  It's one of those bags that's a good all-rounder.  I take it on holiday (it's good on a plane), perfect for days out and can be a godsend when I'm food shopping and forget my carrier bags!  It's from T K Maxx & funnily enough I did have a little browse in the bag section on Saturday, just in case something caught my eye. 😉
