Fun with Fur from the new 'Style not Age' group.

Welcome and thanks for stopping by - you've dropped in on a great day.

With saying a fond farewell to Gail and Laurie from the 5Over50 collective, we had a fabulous time sharing some snazzy, sleek and stylish outfits over the past few months.
Anna, Hilda, Emma and I are glad to welcome you to our brand new collaboration.
Style not Age.
Having found ourselves in midlife we're all enjoying the 'best years of our life' & we'd like to share our styles and designs with you so hope you can join us for the ride - it's sure to be good fun!

Style not Age is such a meaningful title, where our style is the important issue, not our ages!
We are four ladies, of different sizes, ages, shapes and styles with one thing in common - we love fashion and dressing with vogue.

Each month we'll work with one person's style task, each putting our individual twist on a chosen topic.

To start the challenge Hilda has chosen Fun with fur.

My outfit started with a skiing jacket with fur hood, then onto a hat with a fur bobble, with a possibility of a fur collar, all been seen before so I settled on my fur gilet/vest.  Again you've seen that a couple of times on the blog too.

My sleeveless faux fur jacket is snuggly and warm on a cold but sunny day, making a bit of a change from a heavy coat.  Being honest there haven't been many days warm enough to wear just this, but I'm hopeful I won't be waiting long for the warmer weather to arrive!  I bought this from M & Co years ago, but it's been a faithful companion when the weather is playing fair, (she says through gritted teeth whilst facing another bout of freezing weather!)

I spotted this Jersey crepe dress in H & M last week but didn't bother to try it on - I passed on it.  I was on the prowl for a playful lighter, brighter flowy dress, something that would be spot on for some Spring sunshine (when it finally arrives!)  I couldn't find one, so when I got home I decided to click the button and buy the jersey beauty online instead.  I even gained a discount plus free shipping too!  This little bargain came my way for just over £20.
When it arrived and as soon as I took it out of the bag I knew it would be just right for me.  It was the right length, had long sleeves, was very floaty and with a look-at-me-colour I couldn't resist it!  I felt very classy wearing the dress here and can't wait to wear it again.

I wanted to play around with textures and patters - trying to make the outfit even more interesting, so I chose the grey fur gilet, leopard print shoes and my Jaeger pearl ball necklace.  Finishing off the look with this fun little black and silver bag.

You might have seen me wearing these leopard court shoes last year,  I was generously given them by Lotus shoes.  They are a fantastic addition to my shoe collection as they are versatile and comfortable too.  See here where I've paired them with grey and lemon - a fabulous combination.

Here's what my three friends have chosen for the challenge.

I know Hilda has a love of hats, with this fabulous Russian style faux fur hat & that super full length cream coat she looks very regal - especially with the stunning building behind her.

You can see more of Hilda's wonderful hats and plenty more over at Over the Hilda.

Introducing our newest member the gorgeous Emma from The Style Splash, you may have seen her blog, but if not pop over to check out not only the Fun with Fur challenge - but a whole host of stunning outfits that Emma places together with flare & ease.  Emma has chosen to wear a pretty statement fur collar with a flattering soft grey knitted dress.  Welcome Emma, I'm looking forward to our future challenges, it's great to see new styles.

Our Forth member is fun loving Anna found at Anna's Island Style. On her blog she shares her love of clothes, matched her own personal way, with some beautiful & stunning scenery included as well.
Anna is sporting a long line faux fur trimmed coat, covering her wonderful floral dress - you must have read my mind Anna, because this was similar to what I was looking for!

Thanks ladies for sharing your wonderful warm fun faux fur pieces with us, with the UK getting more like the Arctic within the next couple of days all our offerings might be much need and very much appreciated! Brrrrr!!!!

If you like the story so far we hope you will stop by again to see what our future Style not Age group will bring you.  We'll be posting a new task each month, so not long to wait for the next instalment!

We'd love you to join in too! #stylenotage
Glad to see you - bye for today, until next time it's been such fun. X
