Sharing my dress from Abu Dhabi.

Hello there, thanks for stopping by I really appreciate it as I know how busy you all are. X

Up to my eye balls in present buying & wrapping, along with a couple of lunches and coffee's with friends.  Are you all done yet? No me neither, but hey ho we've still got over a week to get everything in order. (she says through gritted teeth and panicked eyes!)
Hope you saw my Christmas Tag on Monday, that was fun to join in with.  If you missed it catch it again here.

Seem to be running around in circles over the past couple of days.  Never actually getting anywhere!
Oh well that's part and parcel to the build up for my Christmas and I'm sure many of yours too.

So this morning I was up and out early to take some photos, okay it wasn't that early if my hubby is reading, but early for me lol!

Are you the type of person who likes to buy a keepsake from holidays?  Yes I do too, you may remember I returned from Venice with a beautiful frilly blouse & my pretty lace top from L'escala. So not breaking my tradition I bought this Next dress back from Abu Dhabi - yes you heard right Next dress - they've got all the local stores in The Mall, so I felt right at home there.

I wore the dress a few weeks ago to my grandson's christening.  I couldn't get any photos on the day, so have popped out this morning to grab a few in the crisp, cold morning sunshine.  Boy was it cold today - literally 'Baltic' (in house joke for my daughter Emily right there).

Really the rain mac wasn't warm enough for the morning 'shoot' but looks super over my dress.  This is exactly what I wore to the christening, and I'm thinking will be super for Christmas day as it's comfortable enough to relax in as well as look good.

I was drawn by the cool geo design along with the front pockets. The matching belt adding a stylish finish with a feminine feel.  Also I love the press studs on the sleeves & the split on the sleeve hem.
Subtle navy, light blue, off white and khaki are all great colours for winter, the dress can be brightened up with any of these choices, also I can chuck on a jumper for a really casual look.  Versatility is the name of this dress!

Paired today with M & S navy faux suede court shoes, purchased for the christening, but not totally comfortable, but for under £20 - a bargain even if I don't wear them that often!  The navy bag is last seasons from Lotus Shoes, you can read about the matching boots that are still available in similar patterns on the website.

Although I bought this on my holiday, I've seen this in the local Next so I know you can buy it here - hurrah!  I'm tracking down the link so will post as soon as I find it.  Again the price evades me as it was bought in dirhams.

Dress from Next
Shoes from M & S
Bag from Lotus Shoes (similar)
Coat old from Wallis.

Hope to see you on Monday for the 5Over50 challenge, it's a little late for this month due to various commitments - but it will be worth the wait.

Until then, it's been fabulous.

Bye X
