Burnt Orange or Rust - what do you call it?

Hi there, you all good?

So pleased to show you my post today.
You see I've been having some photos taken by my beautiful, talented and unassuming  god-daughter!

We took off in her little car to the local woods, a fantastic location with amazing scenery, I knew the shots would be good, be never thought they'd be this good!  The lighting, the setting and her patience, along with her relaxed demeanour made me at ease with the situation, and I quite enjoyed it - my one and only complaint was that she couldn't make me look thinner! Ha ha.

This entire outfit has been in my possession for quite a few years.  The tunic top similar here in one of my favourite colour trends of the season.  Burnt orange or rust whatever you prefer to call it has made an appearance on the catwalks and magazines throughout the run up to this season.  Last week seemed the ideal time to wear it for it's first outing this year.
I bought this from H and M basically for the colour.  It has an elasticated waist, slight cap sleeves and a collarless V neck.  When the weather changes I'll be layering with either a similar coloured long sleeve T shirt, or even a cream one.
Skinny jeans similar here were the option I picked, but this top could quite easily accompany leggings, or white jeans.
Bringing along these gorgeous sandals - they are the exact colour match for the tunic and an obvious choice for this outfit.  I know I won't get very much wear from these once the weather really changes but for the time being I'm going with them - there's always next year!

I love how this chunky necklace picks out the autumnal colours, it's mixture of beads and pendants in the colours ranging from brown, rust, cream and wood,  It's been a part of my necklace collection for many years.  I've found some great alternatives for you herehere and here.

Love these!   From M & S outlet shop for a bargain just under £15.  I'd already got these in white and when I found them in the tan option I jumped on them.  The block heel makes for a sturdy step (just as well in the woods, it was rather uneven in places!)
The pewter heel made a pleasant contrast to the tan cross over upper.
Check out these similar beauties from River Island here.

Enough of me now, happy Monday - enjoy the rest of your day. X
